Co-founder and Chief Technologist – Excentric Works Inc. (August 2008 – Present).
Excentric Works is a software provider and professional service firm that specializes in high-performance Java/J2EE solutions with a focus on XML / Web Services and SOA applications.

Engineering Manager – LSI Corp (October 2007 – August 2008).
Manage product features and roadmaps of LSI Tarari Content Processors according to customer requirements and market trends. Organize engineering resources in multiple locations in US, India and China.

Country Manager  – Tarari Inc., San Diego, CA (2004 – October 2007)
Tarari was a start-up company specializing in content processing hardware and software products to accelerate complex operations in XML/Web Services, Network Security and Digital Media applications.

Led the development of RAX-J, a hardware accelerated XML processing Java tool-kit which has been adopted by OEM customers including Cisco Systems, Layer 7 Technologies and Alcatel-Lucent in their Web Service appliances and XML security gateway products.

As the General Manager of China operations, I succeeded in establishing Chinese marketing for Tarari from ground up. Accomplishment includes: Built effective local technical support and sales team; Developed successful marketing strategy and sales plans; Achieved multiple design wins and negotiated supply contracts with the major network equipment OEMs including Huawei, H3C and UTStarcom. Each design win brings multi-million dollar in revenue during their product life cycles.

In October 2007, Tarari was acquired by LSI Corporation for $85 million.

Senior Principal and SOA Specialist – Dante Consulting, Arlington, VA (2002 – 2004)
Dante Consulting is a specialized technology consulting and systems integration firm.

At Dante, I functioned as the Solution Architect in the successful delivery of Pay.gov, one of the Treasury Department’s most strategic and visible E-Gov initiatives. Pay.gov offers broad functionality to support revenue collection over the Internet for Federal Agencies. Developed high-performance and highly reliable workflow management, transaction control, auditing and Web messaging solutions to process credit card and Automated Clearinghouse (ACH) transactions that handle 80 million transactions totaling $125 billion per year at Pgy.gov's full capacity. My job also involved Business Development activities including proposals and partnership building in response to Federal RFI/RFP. I presented on B2B, SOA and Web Services at various conferences and technology seminars.

Sr. Software Architect - Commerce One, Cupertino, CA (2001 - 2002)
Commerce One was one of the pioneering e-commerce product companies.

Designed and developed core J2EE components in a Web Services platform for B2B and enterprise applications. My work, including DocSOAP, an innovative document-centric SOAP framework, and Document Framework, a high performance XML document handler, forms the foundation of Commerce One’s e-business platform and are part of an open source release of XML/Web Services toolkit. Conceived and led the development of automated B2B messaging portal and standard testing tool for Commerce One’s eCommerce applications. Invented Rule Based Message Engine and its controlling language, on which a patent was applied.

Senior Consultant, AppNet, Ann Arbor, MI (1999 – 2001)
AppNet was a provider of e-business solutions and enterprise integrations.

Designed and built web portals and e-procurement applications on J2EE and Microsoft platforms. Led implementation teams, conducted requirements gathering and use-case analysis, created design specifications and coached team members. Applied Rational Unified Process (RUP) and Extreme Programming (XP) methodologies to achieve high quality architectural design and fast delivery.

Software Engineer, Engineering Animation Inc, Ames, IA. (1997 – 1999)
EAI was a software company providing computer visualization solutions to the automotive, aerospace, heavy equipment and consumer products manufacturers.

Developed a innovative Internet Application Sharing System used for collaborative engineering process, ideas derived from my research work at VisLab.  This work system enables engineers from distributed locations to collaborate on product design over the Internet.

Conducted research work in Rule Based Systems, Computer Graphics and Distributed Computing. Provided consulting services to companies and organizations such as Engineering Animation Inc., NASA Ames Research Center and John Deere.
